Meet the Designer
Hello, I’m Kristina — the heart and hands behind Yarn Sonata.
Knitting has been a part of my life since childhood. I grew up surrounded by yarn, needles, and women who gracefully turned simple stitches into something beautiful. My mother and grandmothers taught me the basics, and soon I was experimenting beyond simple knits and purls. With the encouragement of my school teacher, I knitted my first sweater — a piece I never wore, but one that taught me patience, rhythm, and confidence.
Through the years, I continued exploring different knitting techniques, creating scarves, sweaters, socks, and mittens just for myself. Life became busy — studies, work, routines — and knitting quietly stepped aside.
Everything changed when I learned I was becoming a mother. I designed and knitted a baby blanket with hearts, full of warmth and emotion. Friends and other knitters loved it so much that I decided to share my knitting pattern. That moment became the beginning of Yarn Sonata — a place where creativity, comfort, and craftsmanship meet.
Today, I design original PDF knitting patterns for cozy blankets, baby gifts, and elegant accessories. Each of our patterns is written with clear step-by-step instructions, stitch counts, and thoughtful details, making it suitable for both beginners and experienced knitters. Our designs use soft fibers such as merino wool, chosen for their comfort and timeless beauty.
I am a perfectionist when it comes to knitting. If I notice a mistake, I rip back without hesitation. If I can see it, others can too. True beauty lies in the details, and I devote time, care, and heart to every design we publish.
Yarn Sonata is our way of sharing that quiet joy we all feel when yarn flows through our fingers, when a pattern becomes rhythm, and when handmade turns into something loved.
Thank you for being part of our knitting journey.
